THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the Zoning Code, Chapters 60 to 64,
inclusive, of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, pertaining to
Use Districts, Height Districts, and Rezoning of certain pro-
perties in the City of Saint Paul, as amended, be and the same
is hereby further amended so as to rezone the following des-
cribed property from "B" Residence District to "CR" Residence
District, to -wit:
"Lots 27 through 30, Block 11, Mackubin & Marehall's
addition to Saint Paul ;"
situated on the northwest corner of Kent Street and St. Anthony
Avenue in Saint Paul.
Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be
an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health, and safety.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force upon its passage, approval and publication.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter-of the petition of Marlo'n'.•N.-Stone to rezone
from IIBII to "C" ,residence ptopetty located at the northwest corner
of Kent St. and-,St. Anthony Avenue which is described as Lots 27
-through 30, Block 11, Mackubin & Marshall's Addition.
On May 5, 1964,.the Commissioner of Finance reported the petition
sufficient with the owners of 8 of a possible 12 (66-2/3%) tracts
of land within t ' he prescribed 100 foot radius having signed the .
petition. The property is presently developed with two unoccupied
two-family residences both of which are boarded up. It is proposed
to remove the existing structures and develop the site for multi-
residential use,;.however, no definite proposal has been submitted
as of this date.

The Board of Zoning considered this petition at its regular meet-
ing on June 4,'1964. The staff reported that the proposed use would
be compatible with the development in the area and with the Proposed
Land Use Plan which indicates the highest and best use of this pro-
perty and the properties in this area to be for multi-residence '
purposes. In consideration of these factors, the Board of Zoning
recommends the granting of the petition to rezone the above-described
property to a IICII residence district.
