1 WHEREAS, the Saint Pau] City Council, by its resolution CF-06-572 authorized the acquisition of a parce] of land located at
2 741 Bay Sueet and adjacent to owned Pazkland located at the southwest comer of Bay Street and Tuscarora Avenue; and

4 WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 13.01.01 of the Saint Paul City Charter proceeds from the disposal or diversion of
5 parkland aze accumulated and maintained in a sepazate fund, the balance of which is sufficient to purchase 741 &ay Street; and

7 WHEREAS, the acquired parcel when combined with the existing pazkland creates a I(2 acre pazcel of parkland in a dense
8 residential neighborhood; and

10 VJHEREAS, it is the desire of Pazks and Recreation to establish a spending and financing plan for the acquisition of 741 Bay
]] Street through the use of accumulated Parkland DisposaUDiversion Receipts and the interest earned thereon; and

13 WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are
] 4 available for appropriatioq funds of $32,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2006 budget; and

16 WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following additions be made to the 2006 budget:
