WHF�REAS, pursuant to Ordinance ��{f�, p 1-,Ob � of the Saint Paul �
Legislative Code, a paxticular 1953 Studebaker Automobile, serial No. 829�+022,
1962 Minnesota Motor Vehicle Registration NID1628, was i.mpounded as abandoned;
and
WHEREAS, s,aid vehicle having been abandoned the saane was otimed, pur-
suant to contract, by Champion Chevrolet Co. Division of Metropolitan Automotive
Co., evidence of such ownership being on file and of record in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Saint Paul; and
j�REAS, said City, pursuant to the ordinance aforesaid, sold said
vehicle at public sale on or about April 8, i963, for the sum of $75.00; the
true owner of said vehicle having no notice of said impoundment and sale, and
the costs of said sale including storage and publication being approxi.mately
ten ($10.00) dollars, Now Therefore be it
RESOLVED, ,that in view of the facts herein recited, appropriate officers C '
of the City of Saint Paul axe hereby authorized and directed to pay forthwith to
Cha.mpion Chevrolet Co. Division of Metropol3.tan Automotive Co. and its attorney,
Earl J. Myhre, the sum of �eventy-five ($75.00) dollaxs, representing the value
of said automobile, less t.en ($10.00) dollaxs costs and fees, making a net due
said true owner of sixty-five ($65.00) dollaxs, on condition of a letter of
acceptance being received from said true owner or its legal representative accept-
ing said sum of sixty-five ($65.00) dollaxs as full and complete satisfaction
of any claim, right or title or claim of right, title or interest in sa,id auto-
mobile. l �
