WHEREAS, pFior to the 23d day of September� 1963,
one Abron Brown� ' also known as R. d. Pollard, defrauded by means
of forged checks several merahants in this City, obtaining from
said merohants eertain sums of money for the recovery of which
said mer�hants have insti�Guted proceedings in Justice Cot�rt
and �erved garnishments on $aid City� �he names of such merchant��
the original amounts of loss a.nd dates of garnishment being
shown as follows:
. Nate Weitzman, d/b/a Nate= s Ments Shop - $92.18, ��ept.�3,1963;
Z,erri�.r�'Shops of Minriesota - �98.16, Sept. 24, 1963;
G. C. Nlu.rphy Co. ,�- �98.�0, Sept. 25, 19633
and .
WHEREAS, said City, by and through i�s Bureau of Police,
reaeived from said Abron Brown the total sum of �219.00, presen�ly
held, subjeet toi�said garnishments� by said Bureau of Police; and

. , WHEREAw, since the amount of said claims is in excess
of the amour�t• held, without eonsidering �osts� the Corporation
Counsel= s office ;�has reqnested all claimants to participate in
an equitable distrib�tion of said funds held, which reque$t has
been ref��ed by one of said claimants; and
�'� WF�REAS, said Abron •Brown, also known as R. J. Pollard
has been sentenced to '
� prison for his acts and the time for appeal
� Y�as expired, said it�r�ds are available for distribution to said
