This is in the matter of the appeal of the Wheeler�Hardware Company •
to extend tlie commercial use of their property to cover the entire
lot. The subject{�property is located at-the southeast corner of
Selby Avenue and Herschel Street and is described as.lot 6, Block 7
- Kuhl's Addition. '�-' � _ , , .

The site has a' frontage of, 43 feet along Selby Avenue and extends -
to a depth of 109.�16 feet. The property is classifi�d commercial
to a depth -of� 100 feet with the remaining 9.16 feet classified as
"C" residence and��the site �is now developed with`a�one-story commer- .
. cial building, on� 'the por'tion of ,the lot classified commercial. It -
is the wish of�thea�applicant to construct an addition to the existing
building- on that�pjart of the lot classified "C" residence. �
The Board of Zoning considered this request at its meeting of April
2, 1964, and concluded that it would be reasonable and in keeping �
with the purpose arid intent of the zoning code to make this extension
and therefore recommended its approval. . -
