'I'his property was reclassified to a "C" residence district in January of , this year and is now being leveled and prepared for the above mentioned _ building. The applicaant has submitted plans of the .proposed development which meets all of the standards for this type of facility with the excep- tion of the 8 faot se�tback requirement mentioned above. It appears upon reviewing the applicaiit's plans-that a more desirable �apartment development would result by relaxing the 8 foot setback requirement and would provide more usable site area;�for yard space. . - :, . _ �F The Board of Zoning after hearing this request at its meeting of April 2, . 1964 concluded that the request is reasonable and that the purpose and ' intent of the ordinance would still be served. The . Council at that °time requested an inspection of this lacation and a r.eport regarding our findings. The embankments 'that were discussed at the hearing are not steep enough to create a hazard. There are several rock outcropping�s on George Street which, due to their formation, also �'are not hazardous.
