The City is required by City code to clean up the property and charge the property owner for the cost of the clean up. The properry became vacant in April, 2004 and the vacant building fees were due in the amount of $250 for 2004, $375 for 2005 and $500 for 2006. Five summary abatements had also been issued since the property became vacant which were for cleaning up the yard and tall grass and weeds. Adewale Adeshina, property owner, asked how he could enter the building if it was boarded. Mr. Robinson said he still had access to the building by other means. Mr. Adeshina claimed he had tried calling the Fire Marshal to schedule an inspection of the property, however, he could never reach anyone in the office. Ms. Moermond recommended approving the assessment and told the property owner he needed to pay the vacant building fees for 2004, 2005 and 2006. Ms. Moermond also recommended to the owner that he re-instate his C of O and schedule an inspection with Pat Fish. JOb08A Property cleanup at 889 Easf Sixth Street Rayxnond Pochardt, property owner, stated he had knee surgery on May 2, 2006 and had not been living at the property and he also had not received the notice to clean up the properry. He had purchased the property in March and previously had lived in Bumsville. Ms. Moermond asked who the notice was mailed to. Mr. Robinson stated it had been mailed to Peter McCarty. Ms. Moermond recommended deleting the assessment since the owner did not receive proper legal notice. 2. Considering a stay in implementation of Council Pile 06-281 for 52 Kin¢ Street. Matt O'Hara, property owner, presented a copy of the title to the property to provide proof that he was the legal owner. He also presented pictures of 45 Baker Street which he was nearing completion of rehabilitating the properiy.
