VP�IEREAS, in the matter of the construction of the Sanitary
Sewer Relocations on Interstate Higtiway No. 9�. from Macku, in
Street to Farrington Street; Comptroller� s Contract L-6610,
Hurley Construction Compan�, contrac tor, the specified com-
pletion dai� is September 20, 1963, and
�EAS, the Contractor has prosecuted the work diligentl�, but
in order to coordinate his work with a current contract for
tl�s Grading and Paving of Interstate Highway No. 9)�., a Mi�nnesota
Highway Department Pro�ect, dela�rs beyond his control were
eAperienced which resulted in his not being able to complete
t the contrac t by said date of c omple tion, ther ef ore be it I
� RESOLVED, that the proper City Off icial s be a nd th ey ar e hereby
. authorized and directed to execute an amari.dment to said cbntrac�t
extending the time of completion to May 15, 196l�, provided
however, t}�a.t this resolution shal l have no force or e ffe ct
unless t,he sureties on the contractor� s bond consent thereto
and file such consent in writing with the C3.ty Comptroller, and
be it .
� FIIRTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Saint t aul her eby waives all
claim for liquidated damages and that n.o engineering �r�.d nspect-
� ion costs on this pro ject will be charged to the contractor for
