A Resolution to Co-name a Portion of Hartford Ave. in Honor of

WHEREAS, Rabbi Bernazd Solomon Raskas has been recognized by his neighborhood, City,
State, and Country as having provided exemplary and compassionate service to community and
fellow man; and
WHEREAS, The Temple of Aaron in Saint Paul has requested that his contributions be
memorialized and recognized by the City of Saint Paul through the co-naming of a portion of
Hartford Avenue in his honor; and
WHEREAS, Hartford Avenue between Mississippi River Boulevard and Mount Curve
Boulevard is a two-block stretch that abuts The Temple of Aaron where Rabbi Bernard Solomon
Raskas has served as Senior Rabbi for 38 years;
NOW, THEREFOKE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Hartford Avenue between Mississippi River
Boulevazd and Mount Curve Boulevard is hereby co-named Raskas Road, and that appropriate
street signage should be placed by the Department of Public Works at the Mississippi River
Boulevard and Mount Curve Boulevard intersection.
