An ordinance increasing the taxing limitations
to provide additional budget 'funds for the Board of
Education of the City of Saint Paul. This is an
emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the
preservation of the public peace, health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the limitation'on real and personal
property taxes be increased for the year 1965 by an amount of
$2,614,072.37, which amount shall be in addition to any amount
otherwise permitted by the Charter of the City of Saint Paul or
applicable State statute.
Sec. 2. That Budget Fund No. 8 of the 1965 Budget for
the City of Saint Paul is hereby increased in the amount of
$2,614,072.37 in accordance with the following schedule of
specific budget item increases arid__spe'cific applications to be

That a special election be held in the City of Saint
Paul on the third day of November, 1964, upon the issue!
of ratification of this ordinance by the electorate,
and shall receive a majority of votes favoring
ratification of said ordinance.
Sec. 3. This is hereby declared to be an emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after such ratification of this ordinance by-the
electorate.
