WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Pazks and Recreation Commission is hosting a meeting on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at
Hazriet Island on the Padelford River Boat at 5:00 p.m., and
V✓HEREAS, the Saint Paul Pazks and Recreation Commission has extended an invitation to many groups, such as; the
Minneapolis Pazk Boazd, Planning Commission, Friends of Mississippi, Friands of the Pazks, Great River Greening, Ramsey
County Park Commissioners, Metropolitan Council Pazks and Open Sgace, LCMR, St. Paul Delegabon, National Park Service,
Nauonal Congess, Saint Paul Mayor and City Councilmembers, Audobon Society, Saint Paul Police Chief and Assistant Police
Chiefs, Riverfront Boazd members and Como Zpological Society Board members, and
WHREAS, the puhlic pucpose of the meeting is to discuss joint interests and cooperation for the benefit of Saint Paul citizenry;
and
1. Coordinate regional recreation issues.
2. Developing working relationships between various citizen and government groups.
3. Develop a inter agency collaboraIIve work plan for the upcoming year.
4. Discuss specific projects of mutual concem; and
WHEREAS, ffie Padelford River Boat wili leave promptly at 530 p.m. for a river cruise and retum at approximately 830 p.m.,
and
WI�REAS, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is requesting pernussion to spend $1200.00 to provide appefizers for al] attendees;
and
THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED that Pazks and Recreation is authorized to expend city funds on appetizers for those in
attzndance at the meeting.
