RESOLVED, upon due consideration of the pertinent
application by Richard Porter -, the owner or lawful occupant of
the subject premises situate at and adjacent to the southeast
corner of Clarence St. and Maryland Ave. in the City of Saint
Paul and bounded by the following described lines:
Starting at the intersection of the west line
of the east J- of the NW 1/)+ of the NW 1/4 of
Sec. 27, T. 29, R. 22 and the north line of
Sec. 27, T. 29, R. 22; thence east 33 feet;
thence south 33 feet to the point of beginning,
thence east 44.6 feet; thence south 120 feet; thence
west 44.6 feet, thence north 120 feet to the point
of beginning;
now zoned in Commercial district, that a permit hereby is granted
unto said applicant for the establishment, maintenance and operation
thereon of an 8-unit trailer rental lot and for the conduct of
transactions thereon for the rental by said applicant of trailers
to third parties for use at locations removed from said premises;
and that said applicant- permittee shall make due compliance with
all applicable ordinances, statutes`and rules and'regulations of
governmental authorities, and to establish, maintain and operate
said trailer rental lot in conformity to the hereby approved
plans'therefor dated June 12, 1964, herewith filed.

The site is presently vacant and adjoins an existing filling station
located east of the subject property. It is proposed to operate an 8
unit trailer rental lot on the subject property in conjunction with the
filling station operation. The applicant's plan indicates there will
be two driveways off Clarence Street, and one 20 foot opening between
the proposed trailer-lot and the filling station.
The Board of Zoning considered this matter at its regular meeting on
May 14, 1964. The staff advised that the proposal met the standards
for this type of facility and bad been approved by the Traffic Engi-
neer. It should be pointed out that there should be no displaying and
parking of trailers on any portion of the filling station site other
than that designated as trailer parking spaces outlined on the appli-
