In the matter of the repair and reconstruction of the bridge which carries
Mississippi Street over the right -of -way and tracks belonging to the Northern Pacific
Railway Company in the City of St. Paul; and
WHEREAS, The Northern Pacific Railway Company and the City of St. Paul have
mutually agreed between themselves as to the division of work and costs made necessary
in order to repair and reconstruct said bridge as per agreement, authorized under
Resolution C.F. No. 214072.-'dated July 24, 1963; and
WHEREAS, The plans and specifications for the above named improvement were
approved by Resolution-C.F. No. 214577,.dated September 5, 1963; and
_ WHEREAS, It has been found necessary to change, modify and amend certain portions
of the plans heretofore approved for the above named improvement, such changes, modifi-
cations and amendments of the plans to consist of the removal of a portion of the
present deteriorated stone parapet wall on the east abutment of said bridge and the
reconstruction of a reinforced concrete parapet wa11 to the extent as shown on the
Northern Pacific Railway Company Drawing,,, "Construct Parapet Wall - Mississippi Street
Overhead," AFE 416 -63, dated July 23, 196+, now on file in the Department of Public
Works; and
WHEREAS, That portion of the work to be carried out by the Northern Pacific
Railway Company :by contract and the above named additional work to be carried out
by contract, will not exceed the cost of the contract work as contained in the estimate
of the agreement authorized by C.F. No. 214072; now, therefore, upon the recommendation
of the Commissioner of Public Works, be it
RESOLVED, That the plans for the above named improvement, as approved by the
Council, be and the same is hereby changed, modified and amended in accordance with
the Northern Pacific Railway Company Drawing, "Construct Parapet Wall - Mississippi
Street Overhead," AFE 416 -63, dated July 23, 1964 and that further, all interested
parties be notified of this change.
