CROWLEY, 286 City Hall Valuation Technician ( Saint Paul, Minnesota 55102 I I October 22, 1964 The HonorabI le Mayor and Council of the City of Saint Paul Gentlemen: On October Q7, 1964, assessments for the curbing and grading of Nelson Street were levied against properties in Blocks 1 and 22 South Battle Creek Heights. These levies complete the improvements for which escrow pay- ments wereldeposited by the R & W Realty Company as required by the contract agreements between the City and said company. Deposits were made for Lots 18, 22, and 24, in Block 1; and Lots 2, 3,8, and 9, in Block 2 to cover the costs of street grading, sewer, water mains, sidewalks and curbing. The side- walks werelconstructed under private permit, and the remainder of the improvements were constructed under normal city improve- ment procedures. I There remains a balance of $232.85 on each of the lots or a total amount of $1,629.95 in excess of the amounts levied for the various improvements. I, therefore, recommend that said sum be refunded to the R & W Realty Company subject to the approval of the Corporation Counsel. R i Very truly yours, r t 1 ..William Donovan Asstt Valuation Engineer
