COUNCIJIRESOLUTION— GENERAL FORM
COMMISSIONER
RESOLVED, That Paul Gores, owner of the subject premises,
be permitted to install and operate a 12 -car off - street parking
facility in conjunction with a proposed 12 -unit apartment building,
on property on the west side of Rice Street 'etween Cottage and
Arlington Avenues, more particularly described as Lots 23, 242
259 26, Block 4, Hager's Subdivision of lots 1, 2, 39 49 59 6,
7, 141 159 161 17, 18, of Walcotts addition to Cottage Homes,
in accordance with final plans dated September 1, 1964, subject
to the condition that the applicant grade and surface the
adjoining public alley which would be used for exiting from
said parking lot; further subject to compliance with the
provisions of all applicable City ordinances State Statutes
and rules and regulations of public authorities having cognizance.

This is -in the matter of the application of Paul Gores for a permit to
install and "operate a 12 car off - street ,parking_facility in conjunction
with a proposed 12 unit apartment building to be constructed on property
located on the west side of-Rice Street between Cottage and Arlington
Avenues wbich is described•as LotsA23;.24,- 25, 26,-,Block 4, HageV s Sub.
of Lots 1 tbru 7 and 14 tbru l& of Walcott's Add. to Cottage Homes. The
property is zoned commercial and has been so classified since the enact-
ment of the'; oning Code in 1922.
The site consists of 4 }platted lots having a combined frontage of 100
feet along Rice Street and_a deptb of 124.6 feet -which results in an
area of 12,460 square feet.
The Board of'Zoning considered this matter at its regular meeting on
July 23, 1964: The staff reported that the parking lot plans met the
standards for this type of facility and have been approved by the
Traffic Engineer subject to the grading and surfacing of the adjoining
public alley ` which'would -be used for exiting from the parking lot. The
staff also reported that the proposal met the required standards for
density and building'ground coverage as of July 23, 1964. It was, tbere-
fore, recommended by the Board of Zoning that the application for a 12
car off - street parking lot on the above described property be granted
in accordance with final plans dated September 1, 1964.

You are hereby notified that a public hearing will be held in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House at 10:00 a.m.
on September 3, 1964, on the application of Paul Gores for permit
to install and operate a 12 -car off - street parking lot in conjunc-
tion with a'proposed 12 -unit apartment building on the following
described property: Lots 23, 24, 25 and 26, Block 4, Hagen's
Subdivision of Lots 1 through 7 and Lots 14 through 18, of Wacott's
Addition to Cottage Homes. The property is located on the west
side of Rice Street between Cottage and Arlington Avenues.
