install and operate a 205 -car parking facility in conjunction
with a proposed 144 -unit apartment development on property
located on the south side of Wilson Avenue between Ruth and
Pedersen Streets, more particularly described as follows:
That part of Tract C, Registered Land Survey #91,
Ramsey County, Minnesota, described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of said Tract
C;'thence south along the west line thereof a
distance of 306.8 feet; thence east at right angles
to the west line of said Tract C, a distance of
150 feet; thence south at right angles a distance of
116.1 feet, more or less, to the intersection of
a line drawn westerly at a right angle from the east
line of said Tract C from a point on said east
line distant 448 feet north of the southeast
cozndr thereof; thence east along last described
course a distance of 444.53 feet, to the east line
of said Tract C; thence north along the east line of
said Tract C a distance of 418.16 feet more or less,
to the northeast corner of said Tract 6; thence west
along the north line of said Tract C to the northwest
corner thereof;
in accordance with final plans therefor dated October i 19649
and filed herewtih; subject to compliance with all applicable

This is in the matter of the application of National Funds Inc. for a
permit to install and operate a 205 car parking facility in conjunction
with a- proposed;144 unit apartment development-to be constructed on pro-
perty located on the south side of Wilson Avenue between Ruth and Peder-
son Streets the -legal description of which is attached. The property
is zoned commercial and has been since June 22, 1957 when it was rezoned
as part of a larger tract. -
The site has a frontage of 594.8 feet on the south side -of Wilson Avenue;
306.8 feet along Ruth Street and 418.6 feet on the east side of Pederson
Street resulting in an area of 190,700 square feet. It is proposed to
develop the site witb a 144 unit apartment development and provide 125
spaces within garages and 80 open air parking spaces for a total of 205
parking spaces.4 The proposed "development generously meets the density
and building ground coverage standards.'

The Board of Zoning considered this,matter at its regular meeting on
August 27, 1964: The staff reported tbat.the "plan met all of the .require-
ments for this type of facility and has been.approved by the Traffic
Engineer. Therefore, the Board of Zoning recommends the granting of the
application for Ia 205 car parking facility ='on the above described pro-
perty in accordance with final plans dated.October 7, 1964. On Septem-
-ber 18, 1964,tbe City Council granted_an informal'.approval of this
development. r }

Application is hereby made to install and operate a new Parking Lot to be used
by tenants and others in connection with new apartments to be constructed on
the corner of Ruth 'and Wilson Streets.
The surface parking lot capacity will be for 80 cars, but, however, there will
be constructed 125 garages making a total of 205 parking spaces. There will be
144 living units.
