Dear Sir:
transmit herewith preliminary estimate of cost for the construction
of a public sewer in LEXINGTON PARKWAY from the terminus of the existing
sewer, 75 feet south of the south line of Rondo Avenue to a point 25 feet
north of the north line of Carroll Avenue, under Preliminary Order C.F.
217175, approved March 20, 1964.
Estimated Construction Cost $4072.00
Engineering 10% 407.20
Inspection 2% 81.44
Finance Department Charges 10.00
TOTAL PROJECT COST $4570.64
Assessments 4570.64
Assessable frontage 180 feet
Cost per front foot $ 25.40
In liju of constructing this public sewer an alternate sewer connection
for 306 and 310 Lexington Parkway has been considered. This alternate is a
private sewer connection of 6 inch Cast Iron Pipe with two clean outs
constructed from the manhole behind 310 Lexington Parkway to an existing
manhole in'the private sewer connection forthe playground warming house as
shown on the attached plan. Since this solution-would involve building a
04 private connection the cost would be born entirely by the owners of 306 and
310 Lexington Parkway. The estimated cost of the private sewer is $2000.00.

' The Building Department, Department of Parks and Playgrounds, Department
of Public Works and the Corporation Counsel all have concurred that the
private connection to the 'Warming House' sewer is feasible and would be
approved by the respective City departments.
