3` WHEREAS, the City Council of The City of Saint Paul on January 17,
J� 1962, under Council File No. 205588, passed a resolution declaring the intent
9, of the City to cooperate with the Metropolitan Planning Commission, the Minne-
sota Highway Department, the two central cities, and the metropolitan counties
in a Joint Transportation -Land Use Planning Program for the Twin City Metropolitan
area; and on January 17, 1963, under Council File No. 210842, the City Council
of Saint Paul did approve the preliminary organization for the Joint Program;
and on August 2, 1963, under Council File No'. 214205, the City Council of Saint
' Paul did approve the Prospectus of the Joint Program anddid authorize the appro-
priate City officials to enter into a contract with the Twin Cities Metropolitan
�F Planning Commission; and on August 8, 1963, pursuant to the authorization granted
under Council File No. 214205, the appropriate City officials did enter into wi.
'e contract with the Twin Cities Metropolitan Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Twin Cities Metropolitan Planning Commission has determined
that there is a need for further technical assistance from the Saint Paul Department

of Public Works than that already provided for in said contract, to which the
Traffic Engineer, Department of Public Works, concurs; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, that the appropriate City officers are hereby authorized and
directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Saint Paul, amendment to contract
for Personal Services Urban Planning Assistance Project Minnesota P -20, entered
into by the City of Saint Paul on the 8th day of August, 1963, so as to add the
following study to paragraph 3, Scope of Services: "III C - :;Transportation Move-
ment."; be it
