Wherever in the plans, specifications, Special Provisions, Schedule of prices and other contract documents reference is made to "Solid Sandrock" or "Solid Sandstone" the word "solid" shall be deleted. B. SECTION 13, DESCRIPTION OF BID ITEMS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING BIDS. Bid Item No. 10, page 6 of the Special Provisions. Bid Item No. 11, page 6 of the Special Provisions. C. SECTION 25. TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION. In the second paragraph on page 11 of the Special Provisions the sentence beginning ''At least 257o of the perimeter of the tunnel - - -" shall be deleted and the following substituted: ''The Engineer shall mark the progress of the bore and, whenever material• other than sandrock first appears in the tunnel heading, will notify the Contractor that the applicable Tunnel Section 12 XR, 12LP, 13 XR or 13LP, as shown on Drawing 3119, shall be used and that payment for construction of these tunnel sections will be in accordance with the Schedule of Prices, which follows page 26 of the Special Provisions. Likewise the Engineer will notify the Contractor when material other than sandrock no longer appears in the tunnel heading and tunnel construction will again be in accordance with the applicable Tunnel Section 12R, 12P, 13R or 13P as shown on Drawing 3119 and that payment for construction of these tunnel sections will be in accordance with the applicable unit price bid per lineal foot of tunnel.
