Mr. Robert B. Gerber Jr.
City Clerk
Building
Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of George A. Comiskey
to install and operate a used car sales lot on property located
on the north side of E. Seventh Street north of Payne Avenue
and described as; Ex. Seventh Street, Lot 3 and ex. the west
20.57 feet, Lot 4, Block 12, Brunsons Addition. The property
is zoned commercial. s
The site is vacant., having recently been cleared of commercial
buildings which were destroyed by fire. The subject property has
a frontage of 79.43 feet on unimproved Woodward Avenue ' and appro-
ximately 99 feet on E. Seventh Street and results in an area of
approximately 6,340 square feet. The applicant's plan indicates
space for 19 passenger cars, panel.and pick -up trucks.
The Board of Zoning considered'this matter at its regular meet-
ing on August 27, 1964. The'staff reported that the plans met
the st9ndards for this type of facility and had been approved
by the Traffic Engineer. The plan indicates the facility will
have only one driveway off Woodward Avenue and no access to East
Seventh Street. In consideration of these factors, the Board of
Zoning recommends the granting of the application for a used car -
sales lot on -the above described property in accordance with re-
wised final plans dated September 8,;.1964.
sincerely,-,-
