Whereas, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 11542, approved August
41 1959, the Car Allowance Committee provided for in Section 5 has
reported its findings and recommendations to the Council in a letter
dated October 7, 1964, and
Whereas the Council has made a study of said report and recommenda-
tions; therefore be it
Resolved, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the employees

Gentlemen:
The Car Mileage Committee met in the office of the City Architect,
Robert L. Ames, on Friday morning, October 2, 1964 at 8:30 a.m.
The following were present:- Messrs. Ames, Behrens, Clarke, Kelley,
Lackner, Battis for Maxwell, Merrill, Rooney and Shanley. Requests
were given individual consideration by the Committee:
FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE COMMISSION
A letter dated September 17, 1964 signed by Seth R. Phillips,
Executive Secretary, requested the following changes in mileage:

A letter dated September 23, 1964 signed by Commissioner Frank L.
Loss contained the following request:

Acting Chief Bldg. Inspector
This will not become the standard mileage allowance for the position
of Chief Building Inspector when the official position is established.
If someone else is named Supervisor of Inspectors the mileage allow-
ance will go back to C -$50 maximum.
The committee recommends granting this request on the basis of the
above provisions.
