resolution.
That an easement shall be retained on behalf of Qwest Communications for maintaining its
existing facilities.
That an easement shall be retained on behalf of Xcel Energy for maintaining its existing gas
and electrical facilities.
That an easement shall be retained on behalf of Comcast of St. Paul for maintaining its
existing facilities.

persons or property on account of this vacation ,or the petitioners' use of this property,
including but not limited to, a claim brought because of any act of omission, neglect, or
misconduct of said petitioners or because of any clanns or liability arising from any violation
of any law or regulation made in accordance with the law, whether by the petitioners or any
of their agents or employees.
That the petitioners, their successors and assigns shall, within 60 days of the effective date of
this resolution, file with the City Clerk an acceptance in writing of the conditions of this

petition requests the vacation of a portion of Red Rock Road. This inquiry pertains to the vacation of City
right-of-way only. The purpose of the vacation is to expand the abutting property.

PURCHASE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this day of , 2005 by
and between the Port Authorify of the City of Saint Paul, a public body corporate
and politic, under the laws of the State of Minnesota ('Authority") and Gerdau
Arneristee! US, Inc., ("Grantee");
WHEREAS, Grantee owns the facilify formerly known as North Star Steel
located in fhe Authority's Red Rock Industrial District; and
WHEREAS, access to the Red Rock )ndustrial District via Red Rock Road
has been rerouted as a result of changes in the design of Interstate 494; and
WHEREAS, the Authority owns a nineteen (19) fbot strip of land southerly
of old Red Rock Road, which Grantee desires to acquire so that it can petition the
Council of Ehe City of Saint Paul to vacate old Red Rock Road, which is now not
needed as a public right of way;
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDER/�TION OF THE PREMISES, the
parties hereto agree as follows:
1. That the Authority, in consideration of the sum of $10,000 sfiall Quit
Claim the property described in Exhibit A, subject to easements and
encumbrances of record including but not limited to the rights of CP Rail; and
2. That Grantee shall pay all costs in connection with the closing and filing
of documents of record.
