ti9HEREAS, Florence Radman, widow of William Radman, deceased
employe of the City o£ Saint Paul , Department of Public Works, has
petitioned the Industrial Commission o� Minnesota for dependent' s
benefits under the Workmen' s Compensation Law, contending that the
death of her husband on July 19, 1963 arose as a result of a coro-
nary occlusion sustained in the course of his employmen� with the
City of Saint Pau1, and the City has denied that his death was �:
caused by a job-connected injury; and
WHEREAS, the office of the Corporation Counsel on behalf `�
� of the City and said Florence Radman through her counsel Willard
� L. Converse, have negotiated a Stipulation f or Settlement of her
� claim against the City which would be in full, final and complete
o � settlement of any claim she may have under the Workmen' s Compen-
� � sation Law, the terms of such settlement being as follows :
o . � That the City shall pay to said dependent widow the sum of
� a $15 ,400.00 in one lump sum, without interest deduction, payable
o- � as follows: $1,845 .00 directly to the petitioner herein, repre-
senting 41 weeks of accrued dependency compensation at the weekly
N rate of $45 .00; $3,850.00 as attorneys' fees to be paid directly
�. � to • Peterson, Be11 and Converse, W-1581 First National Bank Build-
_ ing, St. Paul; $9,705.00 to be deposited with the Minnesota Fed-
eral Savings and Loan Association, Saint Paul, in the name of and
to the account of said petitioner, said money to be subject to with-
drawal at a rate not to exceed $180.00 a month commencing June 1,
1964: Further, that in addition to all of the sums heretofore
referred to, the City shall pay to said dependent widow, $550.00
as reimbursement for funeral expenses ;
RESOLVED, That the of£ice of the Corporation Counsel is
hereby authorized to enter into such 5tipulation for Settlement
and the proper City of£icers are hereby authorized to make the
necessary pay�ents under the Award of the Industrial Commission
issued in conformance with such Stipulation.
