- WHEREAS, Blake Ave. has a 24 hour volume of approximately 1 ,000 /
vehicles through Langford Park, and
� WHEREAS, Blake Ave. divides two portions of the playground area
� of Langford Park, and
WHEREAS, The Parks and Recreation Department and the St. Anthony
Park Association have requested the closing of Blake Ave. �through
Langford Park, and
�
WHEREAS, The improvement of the alternate roadway around tha
south portion of the park is estimated to cost $20,000.00, and
WHEREAS, The trial closing of Blake Ave. without improvement of
the alternate roadway has been approved by the City Traffic Committee,
now therefore be ft
RESOLVED, That Blake Ave. through Langford Park be closed for a
trial period not to exceed one year, and be it further
RESOLVED, That appropriate improvements to the alternate route
will be determined dependent on the success of tha trial period and
the amount of traffic using the alternate route. ..
