FESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Water
Department, Saint Paul, Minnesota, 25,000 Lin. Ft. 611, 15,000 Lin. Ft. 811,
4,000 Lin. Ft. 12" & 2,000 Lin. Ft. 1611 Class 150 Mechanical Joint Cast Iron
Water Pipe & Appurtenances to GRIFFIN PIPE PRODUCTS COMPANY in accordance with
City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #1049 of said
Griffin Pipe Products Company for the contract price of $124,700.00 (Board of Water
Commissioners reserving the right to increase any individual item of the Materials
of the Contract by an amount not to exceed 25% of the quantity indicated for each
item), such bid being the lowest and said Griffin Pipe Products Company being a
reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby.is
directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City cf
Saint Paul.
