RESOLVED, That a public hearing be held by and before
the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in the Council Chamber
of the Court House and City Hall, in said City, as provided
in Section 1.07 paragraph 2, Saint Paul Legislative Code,
at ten o'clock I.M. on January 5 1965, upon the advisability
and necessity of-the repair, replacement remodeling, or
wrecking and removal of the single- family dwelling on Except
Railway Right of Way, Lots 22 and 23, and All Lots 20 and 21,
Block 6, Mertill�s Division of Rice Street Villas, according
to the plat thereof recorded in the office of the Register
of Deeds of Ramsey County, Minnesota, also known as 47 West
Iowa Avenue, because said structure is reported to be dangerous
and unsafe to life, limb and adjoining property.

SUBJECT: 47 W,,Iowa Avenue
Gentlemen:
There is a single family dwelling at 47 West Iowa Avenue,
Saint Paul 17, Minnesota, described as South One Half of
Vacated Alley adjoining and the following: Except Railway
Right of Way, Lots 22 and 23, and All Lots 20 and 21, Block
6, Merrill Os Division of Rice Street Villas.
This is a one story dwelling 24 by 26, partially destroyed
by fire, the charred members remaining. The building is
vacant and dilapidated beyond repair, unsafe to life, limb
and adjoining property and should be wrecked and removed.
The last known record owners are Samuel B. and Jeanette
Lechtman, Endicott on Fourth Building, Saint Paul 1, Minne-
sota. Danger Notices have been posted.
Kindly institute condemnation action by setting a public
hearing date in accordance with Section 1.07 -2 of the
Saint Paul Legislative Code.
