Gerber Jr. t City Clerk Building ' r Dear Sir: ; This is in reply_ "to the referral of the appeal and application of the Dayton Avenue Presbyterian Church to 1) relax the required eight foot parking lot setback to fouS feet Along the west property line, and 2) application for apermit "to install and operate a 39 car off- street parking lot on property located at the northwest corner of Dayton Avenue-and Mackubin Street which is described as Lots 19 thru 22 inclusive Block l,-Woodland Park Addition. The Board of Zoning considered this matter at its regular meeting on September 10; 1964. The staff reported that the grade of the subject property when improved would be approximately four feet be- low the grade of the adjoining residential property on the west. Because of this grade difference, it appears that a proper buffer can be provided with a four foot planting strip to protect the ad- joining property. The staff also'reported that the parking lot plan met all of the. other standards for this type of facility, and bad bee-4 approved by the Traffic Engineer. In consideration of these factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the granting of the appeal as outlined above, and the application for a 39 car off- street park- - ing lot on the above described property in accordance with final revised plans dated October 8, 1964.
