WHEREAS, The, Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance •
with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
during the period from July 1, 1963 to December 31, 1963, which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the
Department of Public Safety - Fire for more than eight hours per
day or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
G�neral duties of Fire Inspector.
And WHEREAS, Thia emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:

Employee was unable to take compensatory time off because
of absence due Co sicknesa during above period.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in
.accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary
ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
