O'Connell City Clerk Building Dear Madam: This is in reply to the referral of the application of the Hospital Building Commission to the Board of Zoning for a recommendation on the granting of a permit to construct and operate a 500 car off-street parking lot in conjunction with the new City-County Hospital now under construction on pro- perty located at the southeast corner of Jackson Street and University Avenue and which is described as Lot 1, Block 2, Eastern Area Addition. The site is an ir•regularly shaped tract of land wi�h street frontage along Jackson Street, University Avenue and T. H. #35E (now under construction) and results in an area of*approximately 806,110 square feet, or 18.39 acres. The Traffic Engineer and Planning Board Staff report that the applicant's plan meets tbe standards for this type of facility and recommend approval of same. The Board of Zoning considered this application at its re- gular meeting on December 19, 1963, and recommends its approval as adequate off-street parking is essential in the over-all functioning of the City-County Hospital.
