' (February 8, 1964) WHERF�A.S, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported in accordance with 3ection 53 of the�� City Chaster the existence of an emergency during the period £rom January 16th to January 31st 1961�, inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: l. Repairing equipment, various stations. 2. Working extra shifts, various locations. 3• Driving country crew to and from work. 1�. Snow removal, various loca�ions. 5. Repairing water main breaks. AlVD T�dHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: . � } 1. Necessary to do work during low consvmption hours. 2. Absence of employees on regular shifts. 3. On account of scattered work locations. 1�. Necessary to remove snow on weekends. 5. In osder to put w�.ter mains in service as soon as possible. THII�EFURE, BE IT RESOLUED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Counc�l's Salasy Ordinance, Ordinance No. 61�1.�6.
