This is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Chapter 92A of the St. Paul Legislative Code, as amended by Council File No. 215566, Ordinance No. 12612, approved December 10, 1963, is hereby further amended as follows: That the first paragraph of Section .92A.06, which reads as follows: "92A.06. Liability Insurance. Each employee receiving a car mileage allowance shall obtain liability insurance, the limits of which shall be $100 000 for each accident involving personal injury, subjecttD a maximum of $200,000 for all persons involved in any accident, and property damage insurance in the amount of $10,000. The aforesaid limits shall be regarded as minimum limits, and nothing in this ordinana e-:_contain.ed shall be construed to prohibit an officer or employee of the City of Saint Paul from obtaining automobile liability insurance in an amount and with',.greater limits than are shown herein." be and the same hereby is amended to read: "92A.06. Each employee receiving a car mileage allowance shall obtain liability insurance and give evidence to the City of Saint Paul of the financial responsibility of each employee by filing with said City of Saint Paul an insurance certificate showing limits of liability not less than $10,000 for each accident involving personal injury, subject to a maximum of $20 000 for all persons involved in any accident, and property damage insurance in the amount of $5,000. The aforesaid limits shall be regarded as minimum limits, and nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed to prohibit an officer or employee of the City of Saint Paul from obtain- ing automobile liability insurance in an amount and with greater limits than are shown herein." and that the second paragraph of said Section 92A.06 shall remain unchanged., That Section 92A.07 of said Chapter, which reads as follows: 1192b.07. See. 2. That Section 2 of said Ordinance No. 12612 be and the same hereby is repealed, said section dealing with the date for filing of insurance certificates thereunder. Sec. 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety. See. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after' its passage, approval and publication.
