1'WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department, has received a grant donafion from Target
2 Corporarion; and

4 WHEREAS, this grant, in the amount of $80,000, will be used to support the Cold Case Unit; and

6 WHEREAS, the Target Corporation is committed to giving back to communities in which they operate
7 stores through projects such as promoring early childhood education, family violence prevention, and
8 also through its Target and Blue program partnering to promote safe and healthy communities; and
9
10 WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to assist the department in solving cold cases
11 and pursuing criminals; and
12
13 BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this generous donation and extends its sincere
14 thanks to Target Corporation for all its efforts in the community.
