1 WHEREAS, Section 17.071 of the City Charter states ffiat "[t]he council may by
2 ordinance create new or additional commercial development districts"; and

4 WHEREAS, since the Charter was passed, five (5) additional commercial development
5 districts have been created; and
7 WHEREAS, those districts aze as follows:
9 2082 Ford Parkwav, the "Ford Pazkwav Development District" — adopted in CF
10 99-1179; includes the property at 2082 Fard Parkway, legally described as Lane's Highland Park
11 I,ots 13 and 15, block 5; includes the condition that "no license shall be issued except to a

2431 West 7`" Street — district adopted in CF 45-462, includes the property at
2431 West 7�' Street; and
249 7`" Street West, the "West 7"` Street Cammercial DistricY' — adopted in CF
95-872, includes the property at 249 7` Street West, legally described as Rice and Irvines
Addition blocks 26 through 41, 46 ttirough 53, except alley lot 8, block 52; and
2728 Gannon Road, "Gannon Road Development DistricY' — adopted in CF 93-
1816, includes the property at 2728 Gannon Road, legally described as Gertrude St. Vac between
W. 7` and extended E L of Lot 2Q and Lots 16 through 20, block 2, Whitney's Re-anangement
of Bellewe Addition; and
1003 Arcade Street, "Arcade Street Development DistricY' — adopted in CF 91-
1642, includes the property at 1003 Arcade Street, legally described as Arlington Hills Addition,
Block 11, north 60 feet of lots 16, 17, and 18; includes the condition that the Commercial
Development District shall be repealed upon either the sale or transfer of the Polish American
Club or the building in which the club operates, or of any interest in the Club or the building or
the cessation of operations by the Polish American Club for mare than 90 consecutive days; and
WHEREAS, the above-listed districts are not listed in the City Charter, Legislative Code,
or Administrative Code of the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREA5, at is the desire of the council to list the above-listed districts along with their
legal descriptions and condirions in the I.egislative Code; now therefore be it

1 RESOLVED, that and appendix to Chapter 409 shall be created and the above-listed
2 commercial development dishicts, their boundaries, and any conditions placed on those districts
3 shall be listed in ffiat appendix to Chapter 409 of the Saint Paul L,egislative Code; and

5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a11 subsequent commercial development districts,
