Thompson, an employee of the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of P�olice, was injured in a third party accident , arising out of and in the course o£ his employment wi,th said Bureau of Police , on December 8, 1962, when. the sc{uad car in which he was riding was struck by an automobile driven by one Robert FVilliams ; and WHEREAS, as a result of said accident , said employee was dis�.bled £or work for a period of time, being paid salary in the sum of $350.33, and the City llas expended the sum of $41. 35 in medical expenses on behalf of said employee; and WHEREAS, by reason of said accident , the City's squad car No. 320 was damaged to the extent of $152.40, and the Comptroller' s Registered Bill No. 3-4016 was issued for that amount to said third party, and the City' s squad No. 306 was damaged and depreciated to the extent of $25 .00 ; and WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated between said employee through his attorney, Arnold Stromberg, and said third party in the total sum of $569.08, out of which the City will be reimbursed in full for its expenses as detailed above, $569. 08, less one-fourth , $142. 27, for attorney's fees and $11. 14 � representing one-half of disbursements, or a net settlement to the City o£ $415 .67, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are hereby - authorized and directed to accept the sum of $415 .67 in full � settlement of its subrogation rights under the Workmen' s Compen- sation Act relative to the injury of its said employee as a result of said third party accident , and for damage to its said . ;�(iIHAL TO CIYY CLERK /�/���� � , CITY OF ST.
