A resolution honoring the contributions of the ]ewish Community Center's staff to Saint
Paul's quality of life.
WHEREAS, the St. Paul ]ewish Community Center benefits St. Paul citizens by providing a wide
variety of programs and activities for infants to senior citizens that emphasize a safe, nurturing
environment and positively affecting the lives and well-being of our community members, and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul 7ewish Community Center staff understands the needs and chailenges
facing our community today and the programs and services provided here permit everyone to get and
stay healthy, enrich their )ewish and cultural lives and receive support during various stages of {ife's
challenges, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Jewish Community Center is truly the "center" for a busy, urban
neighborhood: 7hrough a strong network of coliaboretions and partnerships, the JCC reaches out to
provide support and service to an increasingly diverse community located all around us, and
WHEREAS, the excelient staff of the St. Paul ]ewish Community Center does this aH through our
children's and teen departments, summer camps, child care, health, fitness and aquatics, inclusion
and accessibility, senior services, ]ewish arts and education, singles collaborative and resettlement
services; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council honors the excellent and capable staff of the St. Paul
Jewish Community Center, who make all of these wonderful programs happen; and be if further
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council proclaims Tuesday, May 16, 2006 as ]ewish Community
Center Staff Appreciation Day in the City of Saint Paul!
