WHEREAS, Donald L. Lais was appointed Assistant
Corporation Counsel of the City of Saint Paul on the 4th day
of April, i955 �.d served' in that capacity until his election
as Corporation Counsel for the term from August 14, 1962 to
August 11� 1964; an.d
WHEREAS, during the aforesaid period of service with
the City of Saint Paul� and in particular durin.g his term as
Corporation Counsel, the said Donald L. Lais carried out his
duties and responsibilities in an unusually fine manner for
which �the Council wishes to commend him most highly and expres5
appreciation therefor on behalf of the citizens _of said City;
now, therefore� be it
RESOLVED, That the Coun.cil of the City of Saint Paul
hereby takes cognizance of and records its expression of
appreciation to Mr. Donald L. Lais for his outstanding services
in behalf of said City, and especially during his term as
Corporation Coun.sel of the City of Sa.int Paul, and further
,'extends to Mr. Lai� the best wishes of the Council for every
!' success in the private praetice of law.
