WHEREAS, Comptrollerls Contract L -6696, for the Paving of
SHORT LINE ROAD from Hamline Avenue to St. Clair Avenue,
Palda and Sons, Incorporated, contractor, has been sub-
stantially completed, and
WHEREAS, said contractor requests that a portion of the 15%
retained under the contract from estimates for work done, be
paid in advance of the final completion of-the contract, and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner and Chief Engineer of the Department
of Public Works approve the payment at this time of $ 24.,000-00
of the $ 30,274.92 retained; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers be and they are hereby
authorized to pay an estimate in the amount of 243000.00
from the retained percentage of $ 30,274-92 to said contractor,
and be it ,
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall have no fcr ce or
effect unless the sureties on the contractor) s bond consent
thereto in writing and file such consent with the City Comp-
troller.
