Dear John:
RECEIV
JAN 2 2 ,99
DIV, OF PpKS
 RECREA71pN
I am writing you about the immediate need for expanded outside
]ighting in the front of the Center and in the parking lot. For the past
severai years, but especially this year, I have received many
complaints from the public and from staff about the inadequate
lighting out front. ivlany have expressed safety concerns, both about
possible crime and about slipping or falling.
With the large number of seniors using this facility the possibility of
harm increases. I have atso heard from the D?strict Planning Council
Board about this lack of good lightin.
We are in the process of getting bids froin some electricians. We
believe that this work could be done by expanding fixtures on the
cunent lighting.
We would ask that the City take care of this important need. We do
not have the financial resources to handie it at this time.
Thank you for your concern.
