that a public hearing be held by and before
the Council of the City of Saint Paul,, in the Council Chamber of
the Court House and City Hall, in said City, as provided in Sec.
1.07, paragraph 2, St. Paul Legislative Code, at 'ten o'clock a.m.
on January 7, 1965, upon the advisability and necessity of the
repair, replacement, remodeling, or wrecking and removal of the
ifourplex on the East 40 feet, Lot 19, Block 2, Wilson's Rearrangement
of a part of Marshall's Subdivision of Block 27, Mackubin & Marshall's
Add. to St. Paul, according to the plat thereof recorded in the
office of the Register of Deeds of Ramsey County, Minnesota, also
known as 537 -9 Carroll Avenue, because said structure is reported
to be dangerous and unsafe to life, limb and adjoining property.

Gentlemen:
There is a fourplex at 537 -9 Carroll Avenue, on property
described as East 40 feet Lot -19, Block 2, Wilson's Rear-
rangement of Marshall's Subdivision of Block 27, Mackubin
And Marshall's Addition.
This•building is approximately 60 by 39 by 32. It is va-
cant. There are holes in the walls, floors, ceilings and
roof. Windows and doors are broken out. All plumbing fix-
tures have been broken or removed. Part of the chimney has
fallen. The cornice is rotted. Steps are in bad condition.
The building has been posted by the Health Department as
"Unfit for Human Habitation." The entire building is litter-
ed with junk and paper. It is dangerous to life, limb and
adjoining property and should be repaired or wrecked and re-
moved.
The last known record owner is Marie L. Bruckner, 216 South
Dunlap Street, Saint Paul 6, and her attorney is Robert
Gearin, W 1152 First National Bank Bldg., Saint Paul 1.
Contract purchaser is Mrs. Edna Ryan, 342 Pleasant Avenue,
Saint Paul 2. Danger Notices have been posted.
Kindly institute condemnation action by setting a public
hearing date in accordance with Section 1.07 -2 of the Saint
Paul Legislative Code.
