Riverview rndustrial Park
Commission 4639
Dear Mr. Avery:
The sewage lift station constructed in the Riverview Industrial Park area
has been tested a.nd final inspection has been made. The results of the pump '
tests are stated in a letter received from Mr. N. T. Waldor of Waldor Pump
and Equipment Company, who are the local representatives of Chicago Pump
Company.
Chicago Flushkleen type pumps were specified and installed. The construc-
tion pla.n.s were furnished you prior to receiving of bids. The As-Bui.lt plans
for this sewage lift station, as well as the As-Built plans for the sanitary and
storm sewers constructed in the Riverview Industrial Park area, will be fur-
nished you at a later datea
We are enclosing two copies of a letter from Chicago Pump Company for your  ;
reference and files.

The kick brace mentioned in the last paragraph of Mr. Waldor's letter is being ;
designed and will be installed. In operation we have noticed a slight movement .
in the discharge header when the third pump was started and two pumps were in
operation. This, however, is not normal operation. The station is designed
to operate with one pump and the second pump to start when the sewage to the ,
wet well continues to rise with one pump operating. The third pump is a stand-
by unit. However, in our opinion, the kick brace is required and will be
installed in order to prevent any movement in the headero
Mro Maguire and Mr. Shonberger of your department witnessed the test and
were present at the final inspection, The station has been connected to the ' .
 sewer system which serves the St. Paul Downtown Airport and other existing
buildings contributing sewage to the new sewer system installed in the Riverview
Industrial Park area. ,.

of the equipment installed in the project. A list of the items required to be

. area be accepted by the City of St. Paul for maintenance and operation.
