FILE . i OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK -COUNCIL SOLUTION — GENERAL FORM ' PRESENTED BY .OMMISSIONE I DATE I I 1 , WHEREAS, The City Council passed an overtime ordinance, an amendment I 1 I to Ordinance No. 3250, effective January 1, 1965, indicating its intention to allow deviations from the general overtime rules, under Section 1 of Ordinance No. 12854, Council File No. 220541, which states in part: i "To" meet unusual conditions, and in the case of certain seasonal em- ployees whose total yearly hours do not exceed 2088, upon request of the department head, a different schedule may be established for particular groups of employees with the approval of the Civil Service Commissioner and approval of the Council by resolution. " and Whereas, Unusual conditions exist in the Department of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings in that the swimming and golf programs are of a seasonal nature and subject to varying weather conditions, and that these weather conditions make it very difficult to recruit qualified and experienced employees to protect the welfare and safety of people using Parks and Recreation facilities, as well as to plan regular working schedules, now; therefore be it o I _ - 0 RESOLVED, That the Department of Parks and Recreation and Public y->, Buildings be allowed to pay golf rangers, life guards, swimming supervisor, re- 0 fectory managers, assistant manager of park refectories, refectory attendant, and .��p la Yg round aides working in the swimmin g, goll ., or refectory program at the regular hourly rate regardless of the number of hours worked per day or per week.
