Bii! A -ILL FOR AN ACT RELATIAG TO THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL; AUTHORIZING THE INVESTMENT OF MUNICTPAL FUNDS IN BANK SAVINGS CERTIFICATES. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 10 09 Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any statute of this state or the charter of the city of Saint Paul to the contrary, said city is hereby authorized to invest any municipal funds not presently needed for other purposes in bank savings certifica-ces issued by national banks. Sec. 24 Investments of such municipal funds shall be made by the officers controlling their disposition. This section is supplemental to any other statute or charter provision rela':4.n.g to disposition or administration of municipal funds and s::yersedes such provisions only to the extent that said provisions restrict or prohibit investments now authorized by law. Sec. 3. This act shall become effective only after its i approval by a majority of the governing body of the city 3_.int Paul and upon compliance with the provisions.of Minnesota Statutes, Section 645.021.
