Whereas, Additions which might Prove to be necessary in the Improvement
described as Resurfacing and Widening of LEXINGTON PARKWAY from St. Clair Avenue
to West Seventh Street, Comptroller's Contract L -6709, Ashbach Construction Company,
Contractor, have been provided for in the Specifications, and
Whereas, It has been found necessary to make the following Additions:

Whereas, The total addition is $839.79 and the Commissioner of Public Works
has agreed with the Contractor that the amount of $839.79 is the correct sum to
be added to said contract, therefore be it
Resolved, That the City of St. Paul through its City Council approves the
foregoing additions made in accordance with the Specifications in the sum of
$839.79, said amount to be added to the lump sum consideration named in the
contract, known as Comptroller's L -6709, and which amount is to be financed from
Municipal State -Aid funds.

WHEREAS, funds provided for Winter Street Maintenance are
exhausted, and
WHEREAS emergency borrowing under Chapter Section 206 is
made necessary to secure funds needed for this purpose,
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and Comptroller be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to borrow a sum not to exceed
Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000) and to execute and deliver
to the party or parties making the loan a promissory note pgable to
such party or parties, bearing interest at the rate not exceeding
five percent (5 %) per annum, said note to be payalle one year from date
of execution thereof, and be it,
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the funds so borrowed be credited to the
Emergency Snow Removal Fund, Activity Code 0254 R, all of the said Fund
to be expended for the purpose of Snow Plowing, Snow Removal, Sanding and
Salting Icy Streets, and all other work needed to keep the streets in safe
condition for winter driving.
