AS, e City of Saint Paul levied an assessment
for sVdewalk construction against Lot 8, Block 5, Elfelt,
Bernheimer & Arnolds addition to St. Paul on February 22,
1964, in the amount of $144.00; and
WHEREAS, the notice demanding payment was inadvertently
mailed to the owner of Lot 8, Block 4, Elfelt, Bernheimer &
Arnolds addition to St. Paul, being the Capitol View Nursing
Home, 449 Galtier Street ;and
WHEREAS, the said Capitol View Nursing Home paid the
said assessment in error on March 11, 1964 and have just recently
discovered said error, and are now making application for the
amount of $144.00 to be refunded to them; and
WHEREAS, the records of the Department of Finance
fail to show any liability against the-Capitol View Nursing
Home for local improvement assessments; now, therefore, be it
COUNCILMEN
RESOLVED, that the sum of $144.00 be refunded to the
said Capitol View Nursing Home, 449 Galtier Street, said
amount of $144.00 having been received by the Department of
Finance from the rightful owners of Lot 8, Block 5, Elfelt,
Bernheimer and Arnolds addition to St. Paul, being James A.
Allan and Eileen Allan; and be it
.FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Commissioner of Finance
be authorized to endorse-the check of James A. or Eileen Allan
and forward to the Capitol View Nursing Home.
