JJJ // OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK eOUNCtL RESOL, UTION— GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSION WEREAS, The Commissioner of Finance has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from December 16 through December 31, 1963, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Depart- ment of Finance for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: parking meter collections, spreading assessment and checking assessment spreads and preparing auditor's report, and bringing transfer book records up to date; and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: extended sickness of a parking meter collector, two va- cancies in the Bureau of Receipts and Disbursements, and a shortage of experienced assessment clerks; NOW3 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in ac- cordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Omii- nance No. 6446.
