WHEREAS, in the matter of the cQPWetion of the BURLINGTON
HEIGHTS SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM,/ er Lametti Construction Co.,
contractor, the specified date of completion is October 15, 1963,
and
WHEREAS, the Contractor has prosecuted the work diligently, but
due to their engagement in the construction of the Frank -Bush
Relief Sewer System at the time the Burlington heights Sanitary
Sewer System was awarded to them, and desirous of completing the
Frank -Bush System before starting the Burlington Heights System,
it was not possible to complete the latter contract by said date
of completion, and
WHEREAS, the City has experienced no hardships from any delay in
the completion of the Burlington Heights Sanitary Sewer System,
while on the other hand it afforded the City better" utilization
of its inspection forces, now therefore be it
RESOLVED,__ that the prope_rw city officers be and they are hereby
authorized and - directed to execute an amendment to said corltrac t
extending the time of completion to December 1st, 1963, provided
however that this resolution shall have no force or effect unless
the sureties on the contrac for t s bond consent thereto and file
- such consent in writing with the City Comptroller, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of
claim for liquidated damages an
