1+1, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period
from December 16th 1963j. to December 31st 1963.* which rendered necessary the
employment of certain emplyees in the Department of Public Safety for more than
eight hours per day, or forty hours per week.. in doing the following work.
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Police & Fire Alarm and
MREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances
Emergency Repairing of Traffic Signals.
THEREFOBE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized
to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the
Councils Salary Ordinance No. 641+6.
