O , SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA
1 WFIEREAS, the �fy'of Saint Paul benefits economically in marketing and promoting downtown Saint
2 Paul; and
4 WHEREAS, the appearance of downtown Saint Paul helps attract and retain business and promotes visitors
5 to continue to attend events and attractions taking place in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is partnering with Culture Inc. to replace the American flags on display
on the Wabasha Street Bridge; and
10 WHEREAS, Culture Inc., managed by Capital City Partnership, leads events and infrastructure initiatives
11 that enhance the downtown experience for employees, residents, and visitors; and -

13 WHEREAS, Culture Inc. would like to contribute 84 American Flags to the City of Saint Paul; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has agreed to install the flags on the Wabasha Street Bridge;
16 and
17
18 WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council want to thank Culture Inc. for their contribuUon of flags worth
19 $2,000;

21 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council on behalf of the citizens of Saint Paul, accepts
22 the contribution of 84 American Flags from Capital City Partnership.
