OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK , COUNCI ESOLUTION-GENERAL FORM � PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE DATF WHII�EA5, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported in accordance with 5ection 53 of the City Charter the existence of an emergency during the period from February 1st to February 1�th, 196�. inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1. Repairing equipment, vaxious stations. 2. Working extra shifts, various locations. 3. Driving country crew to and from work. !�. Repairing water main breaks. • AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: 1. Necessary to do work during 1ow consumption hours. 2. Absence of employees on regular shifts. 3. On account of scattered work locations. . �.. In order to put water mains in service as soon as possible. THERF.FORE, BE IT RESOLUED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6L�.1�.6.
