WHEREAS, The City Council of Saiht Paul under Resolution C.F. 215209,
- approved October 17, 1963, authorized the issuance of a permit to the State
of Minnesota acting by and through its Commissioner of Highways for the in-
stallation and operation of an off-street parking facility on the west side �
of the Highway Department District 9 office building on the south side of
University Avenue between Syndicate and Griggs Streets, in Saint Paul, in
accordance with plans submitted to the City Building Bureau, and
WHEREAS, The completion of said parking lot has been delayed becausecF
lack of funds, and � ,
WHEREAS, The said Commissioner of Highways is now in�a position to com-
plete the said parking lot, and
WHEREAS, The Commissionerof Highways is desirous of proceeding quickly
to complete said parking lot before the advent of unfavorable weather, now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized fo
issue to the Minnesofia Department of Highways a permit for the construction
by their own forces of a standard parking lot driveway on the south side of
University Avenue approximately 200 feet east of Syndicete Street, sa�i;d
driveway to be in conformance with all applieable city ordinances, rules
and regulations of city agencies having cognizance, saitd driveway to be ,
constructed as shown on the attached plan and to the satisfaction of the
Commissioner of Public Works, and . _ , _ _ � _ _ , „ _ _
BE IT FURTNER RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby .
authorized to issue a permit to the Minnesota Department of Highways for the•
construction by their own forces of certain parking lot drainage facilities '
and to connectsame to the adjacent manhole of the City of Saint Paul existing
18 inch combined sewer in University Avenue, all as shown on the attached
plan and all to be constructed in accordance with all applicable city ordi-
nances, rules, regulations and standards and to the satisfaction of the
Commissioner of Public Works.
